The Prague Conferences

The Prague Spectroscopy Conferences started in 1970 by the initiative of the late Dr. Dušan Papoušek (Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences), with the aim of increasing the scientific collaboration and bringing together spectroscopists from the east and west of Europe.

A detailed history of the Conference was previously published in Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy, one of the main sponsors of this Conference.
